Candidate Testing & Quizzing
How do I test candidates online without losing control of who takes the test or how it is scored?
Tests are assembled from question pools into sections and quizzes, attached to a vacancy stage, and run as timed online sessions. Scoring is recomputed on the server from stored answers, not taken from the browser.
What is checked before it commits
6 checksPools, sections, quizzes
Questions live in reusable pools, are grouped into sections, and are assembled into per-stage quizzes.
Shortlist-gated access
A test session opens only for candidates whose identity matches a shortlisted application on that stage.
Timed sessions
Each test stage runs with a time limit, with answers persisted as the session progresses.
Server-side scoring
Scores are recalculated from stored answers on the server when the session is saved.
Internal and external stages
Per-stage visibility flags separate portal-facing tests from internal-only evaluation steps.
Language assessments
Language proficiency options are maintained separately and attached to vacancies as required languages.
How it works
Test design starts with question pools: questions of different types are organized into pools, composed into sections, and assembled into quizzes attached to a specific vacancy test stage. Language assessments are maintained as their own assessment structures alongside subject tests.
Candidates sit tests through a separate testing portal. Access is an identity match — the candidate’s email and personal number must correspond to a shortlisted applicant on that stage — so only candidates the commission advanced can open a session. Each vacancy stage is individually marked as web-visible or internal-only, keeping internal reviews off the portal.
Sessions are timed, and answers are saved to the database as the candidate works. The final score is recomputed on the server from those stored answers, so the result does not depend on anything the browser reports.
What this touches
- Recruitment
Tests are stages in the vacancy’s chained shortlist sequence. - Skills & qualifications
Vacancy requirements draw on the same skill and language structures. - Performance appraisal
A separate questionnaire engine evaluates employees; the two are deliberately distinct. - Platform architecture
Candidate portals are separate applications calling a dedicated recruitment and testing API.
