Cash Management

How are cash movements recorded, justified, and tied to accounts?

Cash transactions in continON come in three kinds — incoming, outgoing, and account transfer. Each one names its debit and credit account, carries a sum, date, and method, and requires the context that makes it auditable: justification text and attached documents.

What it records

  • Three transaction kinds

Incoming cash, outgoing cash, and transfers between accounts are recorded on one structure with the kind flagged per record.

  • Account pair per transaction

Debit and credit accounts are selected on the cash record, driving where it posts in the ledger.

  • Justification and documents

A justification field and file attachments keep the reasoning and evidence on the transaction itself.

  • Linked to operations

A cash record can reference the sale or purchase it relates to and the employee and partner involved.

  • Configurable cash document templates

Cash settings define numbering and form per document type and organization.

How it works

A cash record carries a generated reference, a transaction name, the transaction kind, a method, dates, the sum, and an optional currency. It can be tied to the employee handling it, the partner involved, and the sale or purchase it relates to. The debit and credit accounts are chosen on the record itself, so each cash movement posts to the ledger with the account pair you intended.

Cash settings templates define the numbering and form each cash document type uses, per organization. Payments can be recorded against a cash transaction, and files — receipts, slips, approvals — attach directly to the record, so the paper trail lives with the transaction rather than in a separate folder.
