Orders & Offers

Orders & Offers holds the two records every commercial cycle turns on: the offer you exchange with a partner and the order that commits it. Offers carry validity, price-tier pricing, and line discounts; customer orders reserve or draw warehouse stock line by line; supplier orders collect approved request lines for one supplier — optionally under a contract.

The recordThe offer

The operating model

continON treats the offer as one bidirectional record: the same structure serves a sale offer you prepare for customers and a purchase offer you exchange with suppliers, flagged by direction. An offer names who prepared it, the warehouse it prices from, the sales price tier it applies, its validity in days with a computed expiration date, and its recipient partners — one or many. Lines carry the item, its tier price, a discount as value or percent, VAT, and totals, and the offer can be sent by email to partner contacts or flagged for the partner portal.

Orders split by direction. A customer order records the buyer, the order date and due date, and lines that each name the article, the quantity, and the warehouse that will serve them — with a per-order choice between reserving stock now or drawing it immediately. A supplier order is assembled from a filtered pool of approved, still-unordered request lines for one supplier, optionally restricted to an active purchase contract whose delivery days travel with the order.

Neither record is an island. Customer orders write stock reservations the warehouse honors and can draw their lines from a sale contract at locked prices; supplier orders hand over to purchasing for execution and goods acceptance; and both directions end in documents that post to the ledger. This module owns the commitment records — the modules around it own pricing, fulfillment, and the money.

A confirmed customer order

  1. Offer prepared

Items are priced from the selected warehouse and price tier, discounts and VAT applied per line, validity set in days.

  2. Offer exchanged

The offer is emailed to the recipient partners’ contacts or flagged for the partner portal; offers received from partners are marked as such.

  3. Customer order recorded

The order captures buyer, due date, and lines with their serving warehouse; reservation or immediate stock draw is chosen per order.

  4. Stock reserved or drawn

Reservations are written per line against the chosen warehouse, or stock is decreased immediately when no reservation is wanted.

  5. Documents and postings

Fulfillment produces the sale document, and posting writes its ledger rows automatically.
