Offers & Quotations
How do we prepare, price, and send offers — and track what comes back?
An offer in continON is one record that works in both directions — sale offer or purchase offer, flagged accordingly. It carries its preparer, warehouse, price tier, validity days with a computed expiration date, recipient partners, and a status, with lines priced from the item master.
The sequence
5 stepsConfigure offer settings
Numbering and form defaults per organization; settings in use are protected from deletion.
Create the offer
Direction, warehouse, price tier, validity days, preparer, and recipient partners on the header.
Build the lines
Pick items with tier price and VAT, or pull suggestions: top-bought per partner, least-sold, or approaching expiry.
Send and publish
Email the offer to partner contacts and optionally flag it for the partner portal.
Track the exchange
Status, expiration date, and portal-received flags keep sent and received offers in one working list.
How it works
Offer numbering and form defaults come from offer settings templates maintained per organization; references are generated per year with sequential numbering, and settings that already have offers behind them cannot be deleted. Creating an offer means choosing its direction, the warehouse it prices from, the sales price tier to apply, the validity in days, and the recipient partners — one offer can address several.
Lines are built from the item master with the tier price and the item’s VAT class pulled in, and each line can carry a discount entered as a value or a percent, remarks, and computed value and total. To build assortments faster, the module runs suggestion queries against real trading data: the ten items a recipient partner has bought most, the least-sold items, and items whose lots approach expiration — the latter a practical way to move stock before it writes off.
A finished offer can be sent by email to the recipient partners’ registered contacts and flagged for display on the partner portal; offers received back from partners are marked as portal-received, so the exchange stays visible in one list. Each offer keeps a status and free-text description and remarks for the negotiation context.
