Partner Portal

The Partner Portal is the controlled edge of continON: the place where customers and suppliers take part in specific commercial records without entering your operating environment. Offers can be published to named partner companies, inbound partner offers arrive marked and referenced, and reports or dashboards can be scoped to a partner audience.

The operating model

Commercial work does not stop at the company boundary. Offers go out to customers, supplier quotations come back, and both sides want to know where things stand — usually over email attachments that never land in the system of record. continON keeps one partner master for the companies you trade with, covering the customer and supplier roles on the same record, and gives specific commercial records an explicit partner-visible switch.

The exchange is record-level and deliberate. An offer names the partner companies it addresses, carries a validity window and a status, and can be flagged for partner-portal display or emailed to the partner’s registered contacts. Offers arriving from the partner side are marked as received from the partner portal, so a buyer always sees which quotations originated externally. Reports and dashboards follow the same discipline: their permission scope can name a partner audience, so a supplier sees the records that scope permits and nothing more.

The partner surface is intentionally narrow. Partners participate in permitted stages — an offer, a report, a dashboard — rather than receiving a general login to the operating environment. Partner accounts are registered by your own team from inside the commercial workspace, so who can see across the boundary is always an internal decision.

Participation without internal access

  1. Prepare the offer

A sale or purchase offer is built in the commercial workspace: items, named partner recipients, the partner’s price tier, and a validity window that sets the expiration date.

  2. Publish across the boundary

The offer is flagged for partner-portal display or emailed to the partner’s registered contacts; inbound partner offers arrive marked as received from the partner portal, with their own reference and status.

  3. Convert to a purchase

A confirmed supplier offer is carried into purchasing, where the purchase order records supplier, currency, and freight context.

  4. Receive and stock

Goods acceptance records receipt line by line and the stock ledger takes over — the same procure-to-stock chain used for internally raised requests.

  5. Report to the partner

Reports and dashboards whose permission scope names the partner expose only the records that scope permits.
