Partner Offer Exchange
How do we exchange sale and purchase offers with customers and suppliers without emailing spreadsheets?
Every offer record carries explicit exchange switches: display on partner portal publishes it toward the named partner companies, and offers arriving from the partner side land marked as received from the partner portal. Both directions use the same reference numbering, validity window, and status trail as internally created offers.
The boundary
The record stays inside. What crosses it is scoped.

A confirmed supplier offer is carried into purchasing as a purchase order; a sale offer continues into the sales flow.
How it works
One offer structure covers both directions of trade: a sale offer addressed to a customer and a purchase offer received from a supplier are the same kind of record, distinguished by direction flags rather than kept in separate systems. The offer names the partner companies it addresses, records who prepared it, carries a warehouse context, and computes an expiration date from its validity days — an offer that has run out is visibly expired, not silently stale.
Publication is a decision on the record. An offer can be flagged for partner-portal display, or sent by email to the contacts registered against the partner companies on the offer — the send is logged on the record either way. Offer lines resolve their prices from the sales price tier assigned to the buyer, and the item list is limited to articles that are actually salable to that partner, so what the partner sees is priced and filtered for them specifically.
Provenance stays visible in the other direction: offers that originated on the partner side carry a received-from-partner-portal marking, so purchasing staff can always separate external quotations from offers their own team drafted. From there, a confirmed supplier offer continues into the purchasing lifecycle as a purchase order.
What that gives you
- Two directions, one record
- Sale offers and purchase offers share one structure with direction flags, so quotations to customers and from suppliers live in the same referenced list.
- Named partner recipients
- An offer lists the partner companies it addresses; email delivery goes to the contacts registered against those partners, not to a typed-in address.
- Validity that expires itself
- Validity days on the offer compute an expiration date, so an out-of-date quotation is visible as expired rather than lingering as current.
- Partner-tier pricing
- Offer lines resolve prices from the sales price tier assigned to the buying partner, and only articles salable to that partner are offered.
- Marked provenance
- Offers that originated on the partner side carry a received-from-partner-portal marking, keeping external quotations distinguishable at a glance.
What this touches
- Orders & Offers
The offer record itself — reference numbering, items, statuses, expiry — is managed in the commercial offer workspace. - Purchasing & Supply
Confirmed supplier offers continue into purchase orders, goods acceptance, and the procure-to-stock chain. - Sales Management
Sale offers priced from a partner’s price tier feed the sales side of the same partner relationship. - Warehouse Management
Every offer carries a warehouse context, tying the quotation to the location that would fulfill it.
