Task Management
Every piece of work in continON is a task record: assigned by one person to another, dated, prioritized, and tied to a project, a partner, or a service request. Assignees report activities with working time and equipment used, and statuses move under permission control until the task completes or is recorded as failed.

The operating model
Task work rarely lives alone: it belongs to a project plan, serves a partner, or answers a request for a service some unit provides. continON models all of that on one task record. A task carries who assigned it and to whom, start and due dates, a priority, a category, required time, and its origin — a project id, a partner, or a service request — plus a parent when it is a subtask.
Execution is recorded, not assumed. Assignees log activities under the task with working time, a period unit, dates, and the equipment they used; documents attach at task, activity, and failure level; and daily check-ins from the timesheet screens land on leaf tasks, so time and progress accumulate against the same record a manager reviews. Statuses come from configurable values, changes are permission-gated, and reassignment is an explicit grant with notes rather than a free-for-all.
The boundary with neighboring modules is deliberate. Schedules, dependencies, and milestones are planned on the project Gantt in Project Management; timesheets and attendance approval are Human Capital Management; the assignee’s personal view lives in the My continON hub. Task Management is the canonical home of the task record itself — its assignments, statuses, activities, and the service-request intake that generates tasks.

Create or generate the task
A task is created directly, added as a subtask, planned as a project Gantt row, or generated from a service request against a unit’s service catalog.
Assign the work
Name an employee, or set skill requirements that resolve to matching people; partner contacts can be assignees with an internal monitoring employee attached.
Report activities
Assignees log activity records with working time, dates, status, files, and equipment usage lines under the task.
Capture time on the task
Daily check-ins from the timesheet screens select a leaf task, linking attendance time and a percent-complete update to the work.
Move the status or reassign
Statuses update under granted permissions; reassignment happens only where the assigner allowed it, with reassign-to and notes recorded.
Complete or fail with a record
The task closes with its actual date and percent complete, or is set to failed with a description and documents; progress rolls up to the project.

Connected through one operating model
Task Management does not stand alone.
Records cross module boundaries without being re-entered — these are the relationships continON actually maintains.
- Project Management
Project tasks are the same records planned as Gantt rows, and progress rolls up to the project. - Human Capital Management
Assignees, skills, and the manager hierarchy come from employee and position records. - My continON
Assignees see and work their own tasks from the self-service hub’s tasks tab. - Asset Management
Equipment lines on a task reference asset articles from the shared register. - Document Management
Failure documents and task files are stored through the shared document layer.
