Recurring Billing
How are periodically billed services invoiced — fixed fees, quantities, periods, and partners?
Recurring billing invoices service articles flagged as periodically billed on the item master. Billing setups group items — fixed-fee or quantity-based — assign them to partners with individual discounts, and track the billing period by year, month, and week.

Item-master eligibility
Only articles flagged as periodically billed — optionally fixed-fee — can enter a billing setup.
Fixed fee or quantity-based
A billing setup separates flat recurring fees from items billed by consumed quantity.
Per-partner terms
Invoicing entries are per partner with an individual discount, on the same partner master as the rest of commerce.
Period held on the record
Billing period plus current year, month, and week are tracked per item, keeping the cycle explicit.
Contract linkage
A billing entry can reference a contract and its execution period, tying recurring charges to their agreement.
How it works
Eligibility starts on the item: a service article carries flags for periodic billing and fixed fee, so only services meant to recur appear in a billing setup. A periodical billing record groups its items under a titled reference, distinguishing fixed-fee items from quantity-based ones, and assigns them to partners from the partner master.
Each billing item tracks its billing period — with the current year, month, and week held on the record — and per-partner invoicing entries carry an individual discount and an optional contract linkage with its execution period. Billing lists per item, quantity, and partner show what stands to be invoiced for the cycle, and setups can be edited or removed as arrangements change.
