Storage Conditions & Alerts
How does the warehouse enforce temperature, humidity, and storage rules?
Sectors carry storage-condition rules: minimum and maximum temperature, humidity, and durability limits, with alert conditions attached. When stock falls out of condition it is flagged invalid and surfaces in warehouse alerts — the entry point to a controlled write-off, not a silent loss.

How it works
A sector condition states the range a sector must hold — temperature and humidity between explicit minimum and maximum values, plus durability limits — and the alert conditions that fire when the range is breached. Items carry their own storage requirements on the item record, so goods and locations can be matched on stated needs.
A breach has consequences in the data: out-of-condition stock is automatically flagged as invalid and appears in the warehouse alert feed. From there the damaged-and-expired write-off flow takes over, with its required justification and general ledger account, so a condition failure ends in an accounted decision.
This is the mechanism that makes the module fit condition-sensitive operations — food, pharmaceutical, chemical storage — where the question is not only where stock sits but whether it was kept correctly the whole time it sat there.
What the table carries
| # | Maintained | Resolved against it |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Per-sector thresholds | Minimum and maximum temperature and humidity, with durability limits, are set on each sector. |
| 02 | Alert conditions | Breaches raise entries in the warehouse alert feed rather than passing unnoticed. |
| 03 | Automatic invalid flagging | Out-of-condition stock is flagged invalid in the records, not left as valid inventory. |
| 04 | Item-level storage requirements | Items state their storage conditions, supporting placement that respects them. |
| 05 | Write-off handshake | Flagged stock feeds the controlled write-off flow with justification and a ledger account. |
