Supplier Management

How are suppliers managed alongside customers in one partner record?

Suppliers live on the same partner record as customers — a company can be both, flagged per role. The record carries locations, multi-currency accounts, deposit terms, and an evaluation rating, so sourcing decisions run on data you already maintain.

How it works

A partner is one record with buyer and supplier roles as flags, so a company that both sells to you and buys from you is not duplicated. Partners can carry multiple locations, and each record holds commercial terms: deposit terms, accounts in multiple currencies, and the financial traffic history that accumulates from transactions.

Partner evaluation is part of the record — a rating that gives buyers a documented basis for choosing between suppliers rather than folklore. Items also list their suppliers on the item record, which feeds offer comparison and ordering with the right candidates already attached.

Suppliers with portal accounts can take part directly: offers can be exchanged through the partner portal, marked on the offer record as displayed to or received from the portal.
